Cognizant GenC & GenC Elevate Exam Pattern, Syllabus

The exam is held in three steps as follows:

  1. Cognizant Online Test.
  2. GenC Interview.
  3. GenC Next Interview.

Explanation:

1. Cognizant Online Test.

For a total 61 questions , you will get 240 minutes to solve. And there will be no negative marking. This is the mandatory section.

This online test includes following Sections:

  1. Quantitative Aptitude
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. Verbal Ability
  4. Automata Fix (Code debugging)
  5. Coding Questions

In this Automata Fix section, you have to debug and correct the given codes.

Before the test starts, you will be given the options ;where you have to choose between any of the three languages.The three languages are as follows:

Cognizant Exam Syllabus: 5. Coding Questions:

  • Section: Mandatory type.
  • Total number of Coding Questions:  4 Questions. (2+2 Questions)
  • Total time allotted: 40 minutes + 80 minutes.

2. GenC Interview

This is the second round of the Cognizant exam.

If you clear (qualify) first round, that is Cognizant online test and not able to qualify the second round which is divided into two sections. The two sections are:

  1. Programming Skills.
  2. Problem Solving Data Structures and Algorithm Capabilities.

Then, you are eligible to give this GenC Interview.

3. GenC Next Interview

If you clear (qualify) first round (Cognizant online test) as well as second round (as mentioned above) of the Cognizant Exam, then you are eligible for this GenC Next Interview.

The interviewer will ask you questions on the following topics in this GenC Next Interview.

  • Programming Concepts.
  • Algorithm Capabilities, etc.

Cognizant Exam Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicant must be passout of BE, ME, B.tech, M.tech, BCA, MCA, MS[5yrs]degree students belonging to CSE / IT / ECE / EEE / EIE / E&E / Applied Electronics / Computer & Technology / Electrical / ETE / ICE / Software Engineering/Mechanical only.
  • Applicant must have more than 60% or CGPA > 6 in aggregate.( In 10 th, 12 th, Diploma, UG and PG)

Aggregate can be calculated as follows:

Aggregate % = sum of all subjects marks scored / total no. of subjects (as of last semester result declared)

  • Applicants should not have an education gap of more than one or two years.
  • Applicants must not have standing arrears in current education.
  • Applicants should be flexible to relocate anywhere in India and ready to work in any shift/domain. (Indian Nationality)
