PepsiCo to add 4,000 employees to Indian Global Business Services Center

PepsiCo, a well-known US-based food and beverage company, has announced plans to expand its Global Business Services (GBS) Center in Hyderabad, India. The GBS Center was established in 2019 and currently employs 2800 people, but with the expansion plans, it aims to increase its workforce to 4,000 employees by hiring 1200 employees within the next 18 months. The GBS Center plays a crucial role in delivering vital products and services for the company’s operations, including digitalizing its human resources and financial services.

Recently, Roberto Azevedo, the Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs at PepsiCo, met with the Telangana Industries Minister, K T Rama Rao, during the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. During the meeting, they discussed the company’s plans for expansion in Telangana, and the minister assured PepsiCo of the state government’s support in executing its expansion plans. The Industries Ministry also mentioned that the meeting also included discussions about manufacturing opportunities for PepsiCo’s food products in Telangana.
